Over the weekend I had everything torn apart to do some painting. I had the air bag assembly out and sitting on top of the steering wheel but I didn't unplug anything and now my airbag light is on. I double checked and everything is still plugged in. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Do I need to have the dealer reset it? Any help will be appreciated.

did you unplug the wires behind the radio?

i know you just painted the radio surround recently and theres a plug for the passenger indicator leds under the radio right above the ac controls where it says tacoma. see if those lights turn on when you put the key in the ignition to "on"

(the 05-14 instead of it saying tacoma it was where the clock was)

I have seen where others have turned on the ignition with the plug above unplugged and it has caused an SRS Airbag Fault to be set. They had to get the dealer to reset it. Although some said it reset after 75 miles or so...

Well this was the problem. Thanks. I can't believe I missed that extra plug. I plugged it back in and it reset itself right away.
