Hey all. Wanted to make a coming along build thread for my camper shell. I'm going to ask a few questions and get some advice on where to go with this!

First off I got it off a local TW member a year ago for $40 and couldn't pass up the deal!

    Accomplished
    Paint

Here is what I want to accomplish:

    Sleeping platform
    Internal pvc pipe frame
    Lighting
    Weather stripping
    Insulation
    New lock
    Fill in cracks

The first thing I did was sand it down, primer it, and paint it on what was supposed to be duplicolor lunar mist... Well it wasn't

After running with it for a few I got some plasti dip and decided to paint it black

I tried getting the big BRAHMA off the back and it has been a pain. I used a razor blade and almost got it all off but there are some places where it wont. Also in the places I got it off, you can still see it on the glass. I thought it might be paint but paint thinner wont take it off. Any suggestions?
Ill get pictures up tomorrow of it

So it came without keys to the lock and when I build a sleeping platform I am going to want to lock it. How do you install new t handles? Also what are your suggestions of locking from the inside?

You can bring the T-handles to a locksmith and they will cut new keys for them. There should be a set screw that you can loosen that will release the latch bar from the T-handle and then maybe some screws (unless they are riveted in) to release them from the hatch. Locksmith would be the easiest path. ;)

As far as locking the hatch from the inside, you will have to post some pictures of what the back area looks like. You could probably use something simple like a chain and a locking clasp on the end to secure the handles.
