Looks like fun. I'm locked with 33 MT's. Most of my wheeling was SoCal desert but moved here this year and need to check out some of the new terrain which seems to be more 4x4 oriented.

You cant shoot at the lake but the national forest behind the lake on the same trail we camp on is a good place to shoot. Ive seen lots of hunters out there and Ive done some target shooting out that way.

I would think dirt bikes would be a blast on some if those fire roads, but I've never ridden so.... take that with a grain of salt. I'm sure the hunters won't like the brap brap. No hunting for me until next year most likely, so I won't be annoyed :)

A lot of the trails are open to motorcycles. I've done 5-6 mountain bike trips out there and have seen dirt bikes on a bunch of trails. Check out downieville outfitters and tuba expeditions for trail maps b

Bumping this to keep the interest. I know Eagle Lakes is sooner but want to make sure this one happens. Plan on bringing the family or maybe just my daughter if my wife has to go to a bachelorette party.

Awesome, I need my wife to meet some others and get into it more. Once she makes friends she will be more inclined to come out.
