Hi, I'm currently into a month+ hitch and not able to take my truck in to be looked at and I was hoping I could get some opinions on wether it's ok to keep driving until the next time I'm back in a city and/or if anyone knows what the issue is.

I was driving down a dirt road, heard a large clunk in the rear end, potentially a bit more to the drivers side than the passengers side. I immediately noticed that the ABS, emergency brake, and traction control lights all lit up and the same time and now remain lit even after shutting down.

I checked the 4wd (high and low), the regular brakes, and the emergency brake and everything seems to be working ok but the 3 lights are still on.

Has anyone else had this happen or know what would cause the clunk and subsequent 3 lights turning on and staying on?

Forgot to include the particulars: 2009 TRD Tacoma access cab, 90000 miles, leveling kit and BFG AT's are the only mods.

Check the speed sensors on all four wheels. It seems that something flew up ( clunk ) and may have damaged one of them.

Is the speed sensor the black plastic thing with a wire going into it that is connected to the back of hub near where the axle attaches?

If so, that plastic part is broken and hanging out by the wire, it must be what the issue is!

Is it ok to drive like that for another few weeks or will it cause issues? I've never heard of a speed sensor until today, I appreciate the insight.

Yes you have one on each wheel.

Safe? Probably, but a short circuit could cause other problems.

As long as there is no oil leakage at the broken sensor (will also allow contamination into the axle is broken to the point of leaking) will be OK to drive in the meanwhile, but ABS and related systems like traction control, VSC (vehicle stability control) if equipped will be disabled. You now have to control your truck with your own driving skills, with no help (or hindrance) from these systems.

I had my ABS and Traction control light up on me today. Pulled over and turned the truck off. Started it back up after a short wait and lights were off. Anything to be on the lookout for in the future with this?
