    Hi everyone:

I've notice that recent access cab tacomas have a full back seat. mine is a 2008 and has a small pad instead of a seat.

    the question is:

what was the first year this came about?
is it possible to change my small pad for the complete seat?

    Thanks...

Not sure you're correct. I had a '09 AC TRD/OR Pre and it had the big console box and boomboom box in the back of my AC. I traded up to a '14 AC TRD/OR 4x4 and it has the same setup, minus the big console box and boomboom box. Both had seats that fold down for "vertically impaired people" to ride in. Maybe the stock truck has a full seat.

Not my pic but this is what the rear seat in my 08 looks like.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
My 2011 had the two single jump seats still. Must be something newer than that, or it could be a special order deal.

One can never have too many light bars.
That's a 1st gen tundra access cab. my dad had an 02 Tundy and it looked exactly like that. Notice the transmission shifter coming off the steering wheel and not on the center console.

That explains it. I imagine if somebody wanted a full size seat in an Access Taco, it could be done with careful measuring, a junkyard seat, and a bit of imagination to secure it safely. It's still going to be tiny back there.

Correct. That is a 1st gen tundra access cab. My father has the same exact truck.

You are probably Wright so could I fit this to my Litter Taco?
If I can't fix this issue I'll probably had to buy another truck. The perfect Excuse to get the 3rd Gen. jaja

2009 is when 2nd gens went to to bigger jump seat.
My gf has a '10 I have an '07. I prefer my rear seat as it folds forward to a usable bench, hers folds back and stays in the way. Not to mention the stupid headrests it came with.
There's an option for people seeking real back seats. -double cab-
