Well my factory inner CV boots finally split on me after 212,000 miles so it's time to replace them.

I have one OEM CV laying around that I got from a junkyard. The boots on it are fine but there are two seals that look like they were damaged when it was removed. Anyone know what they are called and how hard they are to replace? I'm hoping I can just tap them off and new ones back on without much issue.

As for my current CVs, does anyone have a recommendation on what boots to order? Only the inner is split although I'll probably change the outer too.

I have another spare OEM CV ordered and enroute. I'm hoping to swap these two spares in and then rebuild mine for when I break them.

    Thanks

What do you mean by this. I got them and I notice they don't come with the inner (smaller) boot clamp. Is there something different about installing these verses regular boots?
