Alternator won't go back into mounting bracket

    Trying to replace the alternator, the new one won't go back in. I'v been bashing and torquing the damn thing so hard I snapped the back bolt that holds the bracket in place. Any tips to get it in there?

    You might have got the wrong one. In the correct box.

    It must be rubbing on something sometimes just a file to take off some rough burrs is into to make things fit.
