I received a recall letter from Toyota saying that my Tacoma is being recalled due to possible excessive corrosion to the frame, This is due to the use of road salt. They advised me to make an appointment to see if my truck has this problem. Has anyone else had this recall and followed through with it? If so, what if anything did they do to remedy this situation? Thanks for your help.

its an inspection by the dealer for any truck in the 13 salt states. I got one last fall and have not acted on it yet. There are several in here who have done it and had the dealer apply the frame protector spray with varying levels of satisfaction. The dealer will inspect your frame for dust damage and either clean it up and coat it or put in for a new frame. I plan to bring mine in before next winter.
