1st. I know there's an "Entertainment" forum but this movie deserves more attention than that forum gets.

2nd. There's no thread for it in that forum.

3rd. HOW can this NOT be a thread yet? Has no one seen it yet? We ARE the target audience for this movie. Did you go see Pitch Perfect 2 with your girlfriend instead? You're pussy whipped if you did. :brianr:

It's a MUST see. It's fantastic. It holds up on it's own as a single film and is congruent with the Mad Max series. IMO the best of the series, surpassing The Road Warrior. Which was quite a feat from my perspective. The Road Warrior was an important film for me in my formative years. I am Mad Max. ;)

Best film I've seen in years. I had HIGH expectations going in and was not disappointed. Better than I even hoped, which is rarified air for me.

Limited CGI and the physics hold up well for all the vehicle scenes. IOW, they're very believable. NO suspended reality for the movie.

Acting is good and the story line/plot are superb.

If you haven't seen it, you NEED to go soon. You WON'T be disappointed.

Rotten Tomatoes rating (critics) of 98% and a Popcorn rating (viewers) of 92%. It's that good. Hope you are not disappointed.

I'm taking my wife, saw it alone on Sunday, to see it tomorrow. I NEVER go see a movie twice. I can't wait to see it again.

I recommend seeing it in a theatre in 3D. I usually wait for movies to be released to DVD. My tv and sound system are excellent and I don't like crowds. I don't like 3D. But this movie is outstanding with it. It disappears and becomes one with the movie. I intended to not see it in 3D until it was recommended by someone who I highly respect. They were right.

I'm grabbing the wife and we will see it as soon as we can. Thank goodness she likes the same type of movies i do, sci-fi, action and horror. The same cannot be said about my best friend and his wife, who did go to see Pitch Perfect 2....willingly. The poor guy was whipped the day he met her.

Redbox for me, I don't go to the movies that often. Maybe once a year. Usually on a date night so I'm probably not going to see it in theaters. I will see Star Wars though.

Actually, I saw both Mad Max and Pitch Perfect 2 on Saturday. I'm a musician, so I enjoyed the music and I'm a car guy, so I enjoyed Mad Max. I really get a kick out of the car designs they come up with. Fun movie, but far from the best thing I've seen this year.

Watched this yesterday. It's pretty epic but if you haven't kept up with some of the other Mad Max's it leaves some things up to interpretation. VERY good flick though no doubt.

I'll probably see it in a week or two when the crowds die down. The only thing I dislike about it is Charlize Theron. Total hypocrite when it comes to guns and I'm a big IIA guy.

Took the wife and daughter(13) to see it, again for me, and it was just as good the second time. :)

They both really liked it as well.

Me too. Maybe because I like the original and had high expectations. One of my wife's friends had a car growing up that everyone called the road warrior. I probably would have liked it more if it had not been billed as a Mad Max remake.

I liked the movie but you better be up on your mad max history if you want to follow along and pick up on all the small things that get incorporated in to this movie from the previous mad max movies. I found it odd that the old guy could barely dress him self but then he is running around like he is in tip top shape. My favorite wtf is the electric guitar pupet:burnrubber: guy. Shortage of gas food and water but they have a bigass rolling boom box WTF. I did chuckle everytime the flashed his crazy ass on the screen though.
