Ok so how much of a lift does this give me? I am about to replace tires on my stock (only have the TSB rear springs) suspension, and would like a total of 3" lift. Do I have to get spacers with the OME springs then?? I'm ok with the rear sitting about the same, the back sits 3" higher than the front...

I'm riding 5100s with 885 springs... I didn't want to compress my stock spring because the ride would suck, but I didn't have the cash for coilovers (yet) so I picked up some 885 coils and it rides nice. I think the preloaded stock springs rate at around 700#s while the 885s are like 590#. Just set the 5100s to "0" and throw on some 885 to do the lifting and you should get just over 2.5" of lift

here is my truck with 265/70/17s and 885 coils and toytec tsb aal w/ 5100s

PERFECT! I did a bunch of reading, and it sounds like the OME coils are the way to go if you want the "easiest" ride on the highway w/ lift. ok, N140S shocks or the 5100's with the OME? :D

So.. you put the 885 coils in, and that was worth 2.5" of lift..?? or did you have to use spacers too.

I have the spacer just not installed... I got just over 2.5 without them... I may put them in later on though. I do have 5100s, but I've heard the OME shocks ride better... but the 5100 ride just fine to me

So what about UCAs? You have any alignment issues?

so does the 5100's and OME springs raise it too high to were you have to put AAL's on to even it back up or can you do it without them and what is the effect

My truck sits at 3" higher in the back with the rear TSB springs. I imagine you can do the front 885s and springs and be even, but if you ever tow or haul anything, the front end will be much higher. If I go with the Toytec TSB AAL, it should sit at about 1 1/2 higher than the front, so it shouldn't squat as much unless you've got a really heavy load.

These damn 5100 threads are frustrating!! :annoyed:

I thought I had it figured out just like all these other guys are saying. I too was just going to add the 5100's and call it a day but I don't like the idea of the ride quality going to crap. I do like the sound of the Toytec OME kit but I was curious about what I can expect the cost to have this installed would be? Not something I'm going to try and do myself. I don't plan on doing the wheels and tires at first but eventually I will be so how stupid would my 09 DC TRD Prerunner look with this kit and the stock tires and wheels?

Bilstein 5100s all 4 corners, front set at 0.85 w/ eibach coils metalcast red, driver's side lean spacer, rear tsb leaf pack with tsb aal from toytec, 265/75/16 goodyear wrangler authority, MT Classic III 16x8 4.5bs, LR UCAs

Do you have to run 5100s in the rear if you install the toytec 1.5" AAL ? or can you run stock shocks with that?

Got a place in katy charging me 75$ a side to install the strut in the spring, and replace my stock shocks up front. High Price on alignment though, $100.00

First off I would like to thank you all for confusing the hell out of me even more than I previously was about all this. So have we reached any conclusion about all this?

I drive the 08 access cab TRD. I was origanally just going to go with the 5100's to make the front level. Now it is turned into the 885's with the 5100's. I don't do any extreme off roading and have no intention of jumping my truck. But I still want a smooth ride when I am off road during hunting season and weekend drives in the mountain. So what exactly is necessary to achieve this? Is a top plate spacer necessary with the taco lean? Can I get away with just the 5100s? When it is all said and done do I need to replace the UCAs?

I am curios about this too. I have the toy-tec coil-overs and a 1.5' block in the rear with tsb. I off-road almost everyday and I have a lot of noise coming from the coil overs..I do not know about you guys, but I hate noises; not to mention, I have an extremely stiff ride. I just ordered the 5100's from downsouth motors...after reading all of these threads, I am starting to wonder if I made another bad decision.
Beyond seeking advice, My questions are as follows:

Will the 5100's improve my ride?
    Should I replace the coils?
Will the 1.75" be the best setting to level the truck without the blocks or AAL?
Will i have the "Taco-lean"? If yes, How should i correct it?
