    Snugtop supersport shell
Hi everyone this is my first post on this site.I just bought a 2008 Tacoma Prerunner V6 about a month ago at Piercey Toyota in San Jose,Calif.I put a SnugTop shell on it,and then loaded it with all my tools, and supplies for work,Im a Carpenter.I imediately noticed that the back of the truck was really sagging down low. Then when I started driving it at speed on the freeway the steering wheel would vibrate so bad it felt like I had a bent rim. Also on top of that the suspension was so soft that the truck would bounce around like I was in a boat on the Ocean.I was saying to myself my God I cant believe I just paid almost 30k for this thing it rides like a piece of junk.So the first thing I do is take it back to the stealership, and tell them that the steering wheel has a real bad vibration, they road force balance all the wheels, and the problem is solved. Then I start working on them telling them that I want tsb-su006-07 done on my truck, change 3 leaf spring pack to 4,and 4 new heavy duty shocks, and front end aligment. They play real stupid, never heard of it.So then I download it from the internet all 11 pages, then I call the Toyata customer expierience number 1-800-331-4331 and bitch at them. They have a Regional Service Rep from Toyota call me.He tells me that they cant do the tsb because its only for 05-07 not 08.Then I call Toyota Customer Expierence again, and tell them that my truck is a hazard to drive suspension way to soft,it bounces all over the place on the freeway, and that if I get in a wreck, and hurt myself or someone else Toyota is getting sued.Guess what the next day the Service Rep at Piercey Toyota calls me and says we want to inspect your truck, and we want to check the rear rubber bump stops for wear, and tear I said okay I will bring it in on Saturday morning. On Friday after work I go to Home Depot and buy 400 pds of Sackcrette load it in tha back of my truck then I go to this long street that I know of that has these huge massive speed bumps.I drive up and down this street for an hour and bottom out my truck about 100 times. Then I remove the sackrette, and Saturday morning take in to be inspected. An hour later they call me,and say that they will do the tsb on it,but there is a catch they now tell me that there is going to be a special suspension tsb comming out specificly for the 08,and that they want me to wait to get that one done.I then say when is this special 08 suspension tsb comming out exactly, they tell me pretty soon we think, but we are not certain about exact date.I then tell them I want the 05-07 tsb done on it,and I would like it done now please. So they did it,and I have to tell you it was worth the fight, the ride is so much better the diference its like night, and day. This is the truck that I wanted to buy now ,the steering wheel doesnt vibrate, and the ride on the freeway is great, not like a rolercoaster anymore!Take care friends, sincerely Kirk in San Jose.PS any one local dealing with this problem at Piercey Toyota, talk to Assistant Service Manager Mike Tran,he is the best guy over there, hands down!
