    Leveled out. Wheel spacers.
I know it has been an on going topic forever. I can't seem to find just what I'm asking for.

i have a 11' pre-runner i leveled it out and was quite happy with it. So i have order a 4'' spindle lift for it with blocks as I'm waiting on it to get here I'm looking for wheels. i have tried to understand all the backspacing and everything that goes with it its just not clicking. My question is can i run a 16x12 wheel with a 4.28 bs. Or has anyone else done anything close.

I am looking at these for a better mind set.

Yeah, you're not going anywhere but a straight line if you try and put 12" wide wheels on. I've seen a lot of guys go as wide as 9", but there would still be some trimming and/or CMC. I have 8.5" with a 285 and can go lock to lock without rubbing.

Backspacing ... take your wheel, place it shiny-side down. Take a straight object and place it on the rear lip of the wheel from one side to the other. Measure from that edge down to the back of the center hub surface.

Offset ... a little more tricky to understand because you are working from a point of measurement that is pretty much floating in "space". Take the wheel width, cut it in half. Measure that half distance in from the back just like you are measuring backspacing. That is your point in "space". Measure from that point to the hub surface of the wheel. If the hub is behind the point (closer to the brakes) that is a negative offset (makes the wheel stick out). If the hub is in front of that point (closer to the front lip of the rim) that is a positive offset (makes the wheel suck up into the wheel well).

Overall these measurements are extremely important because this determines where the wheel rides within the wheel well, and assures proper clearance of your wheel and tire from your suspension, the body, etc. Getting these numbers wrong, literally by as little as 1/8" (3mm) can mean a cut tire and bad wreck.

3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
What size tire you wanting to run? Pretty sure if they clear the calipers it'll be fine. Tons of guys on maxtrac spindles+more lift are running 12 wides.

I'm going to have to check that out for when I put on my long travel because I'm not sure if it will rub the uca at all but I'm thinking it will I barely have any slack behind my rim to my caliper maybe a 1/4 inch
