2008 red tacoma

I have a 2008 Tacoma and I'm having trouble with my radio speakers and the dash lights. Both will cut out, radio still is on but speakers cut out. This going on for a few days. At first When I hit a bump they might come back on. No it's only they dash lights that will come back on. Do I need to remove radio to find they short?
