It's up to you on be diff drop. If it will help you sleep at night, then get it lol. And taking the leafs out will lower the price but the progressives are like $150 I believe. But of youre not gonna wheel much, just keep the ones that come in the kit from headstrong

    3" lift w/ 5100's, 887s, AAL. 275/70/18's Hankook ATm 18x9 XD Monsters
Someone here with a little more experience please correct me if I'm wrong but you should be getting the 1/4" top spacer for the 5100's not the OME trim packer. OME trim packer will only work with OME shocks. Again, I'm no veteran, just been reading a lot here.

I got 5100s with the ome coils and I got the 1/4" top spacer for the driver side. Is there a reason why you got the 885s?

Ya they are I was just curious because previously in the thread I thought you said 884s. If you dont want UCAs I would try to minimize the amount of lift you get

Okay so you don't think I could put the 885 with shocks at 0

Ya I put mine at .85 and I dont have any rake. My front end sits higher so you may want a bigger AAL

885s will probably get you the full 3" of lift. if you plan on getting a heavier bumper and a winch in the future then get these. if not the 884s should be fine. and the ome trim packer is for ome only. just get a 1/4 top plate spacer. and I would hold off on the cb drop kit. you may not need it

Your last two questions both have the same solution.
With a three inch lift, and stock UCA's, your alignment will have to give up a little caster to get the camber in place. The more caster you give up, the more skittish it will be on the highway, and the less space you will have for tires, but a 275/70/16 should be less than 32", so I doubt that you will have any rubbing.
You can always lift it less, or you can get UCA's later.
There was a good write-up that I can't seem to locate, but it basically stated to set the caster at 2.5~3 degrees then see if you can get the camber to .5~.75, then gradually give up caster till the camber is at least 0.5.
As for the AAL, if you are going that route, use a 2" if your springs have flattened out, with a center of hub to fender stock measurement of 21.75". In hindsight, I wish I had spent the extra dollars and replaced the leaf pack, as the AAL does not fit my needs all that well.
