    A turbo system should be about 25% more than a SC system. The price for the Toyota TRD Supercharger is very reasonable.

    this, if you don't want to pay for a blower, than a turbo is further out of reach

    to properly turbocharge an engine (end up with a durable motor)
    it needs a boatload of new parts and engine work, possibly transmission work too

    Great answers thanks, I'm not opposed to spending money , I have a 8500.00 dollar budget I want the most out of my money, that includes changing out my tranny for a stick.

    any early 2000's american v8s should do you fine with that budget. can probably get a 2004 mustang GT for around 6k

    Don't want a car , can't get up the mountain road , or should I say rocks, to my ranch in Utah in a car, need too do this to my yota..................

    The problem is when towing water a 500 gallon tank up steep rough roads, need more HP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
