Tranzit BLU Stock H/U Bluetooth Adapter
A few days ago, I bought an '08 Tacoma TRD Sport Edition. The stock head unit has no aux input, and I listen to SiriusXM on my phone all the time, so I purchased a Tranzit Blu bluetooth adapter for the stock radio.http://www.amazon.com/iSimple-ISFM21-Universal-Bluetooth-Transmitter/dp/B005XUEMK6 I installed it, and spliced it into the head unit's switched accessory power and ground. Now my speakers don't work. There's a slightly audible popping noise when first turning on the truck. I checked the fusebox in the cab and they're all good. Is there a fuse under the hood that I'm missing for the speakers, or something? Don't really know much about car audio and could use any help that I can get.

Nope, tried all the obvious stuff like that. Head unit volume is up, phone volume is up.

If it's Bluetooth why did you need to slice anything?

I have the kinivo and I just have to click the AUX button on the stereo and I'm good to go!

Sorry to sound like a smartass, but you should return the universal BT thingy and just go get a simple pioneer head unit. If you paid 70 for the adaper, you can get a decent Pioneer deck for the same price then you just have to spend another $20 for the trim kit and harness. Your stereo will sound WAY better due to more watts and having actual wattage going to your rear speakers (factory head unit doesnt actually power the rear speakers). plus youll have BT, aux input and whatnot. Seems like a no brainer.
