So I had a Stant OE temp "180°" in my 2000 v6. It ran typically 202° to 197°. I replaced the timing belt crank/cam seals, water pump, thermostat, idlers, whole shabang. It was all Toyota brand parts. Now my ScanGauge reads 191° to 188°. The old water pump was not leaking or had any play in the bearings, so it cant be the new pump. Just another example to use Toyota parts IMO. 20150401_171902.jpg20150519_173655.jpg

I was in that same boat until last year I got a small crack on the top of the radiator. So I replaced the hoses and thermostat. Parts was closed so I ran to the local parts store thinking its just the thermostat. But toyota gave me long life "pink" coolant too. My 2000 takes long life Red. Long story short I'm back to factory spec.
