Those are HP DL360 G9 servers with minimum 128GB of memory

The Green, Orange, and Blue are copper and the aqua is Fiber. The Yellow and Blue on the right are power cables

This is our cabling standard. These didn't need much fiber. The rack a few down from these use all Fiber NIC cards.

Goodness. Are those dedicated use servers? I hope that's not a VM farm.

Aqua fiber? Hmm... I'm guessing those are fibre channel connections to a SAN.

You're correct. These are a dedicated devices. We have Clusters that have 100+ servers for some of the major applications that run our sites. So far this year we have installed 2,000+ physical servers so far and have about 3,000+ on the schedule still on the schedule for this year.

    You are correct.

That's awesome. Linux has really been coming up in the world. I'm seeing more people jump to it because of how sick they are with OSX and Winblows.

It's been my OS for the last decade. FreeBSD is great too, but it doesn't have the hardware support Linux does.

I've never been able to 100% fully switch over to Linux. I run a mix of Windows/Linix/OSx.

I have been having fun with Windows 10. Still nothing to write home about but I think it will be solid.

Need some more input for something I'm trying to figure out for a friend.

Have a healthcare friend who needs remote access to patient and work files off her macbook.
Uses CoRD for most but the company just got a new system that they insist must use xenapp by citrix.
Is there a way to log into the remote system through CoRD? Citrix prompts with a Windows Remote Management 2008 R2 login screen
trying to find out the external IP so that she can set up CoRD to access the files rather than Citrix. Is this doable?

Built a USB charging station for my house. The 10 port rapid charger might not be big enough. Plan to add AC ports to it soon.

I ran out of USB ports, I need a bigger one. The AC ports will be for my camera, rechargable battery charger and my RC batteries.

USB charger is a 10-port, 60w, 12 amp (total) rapid, smart, charger.

This sounds like a borderline HIPAA violation. Patient data should generally not be accessible from outside the provider's private network except through authorized and audited clients (apparently Citrix in this case). You generally need to have full disk encryption on every device that could potentially store any patient data. The company should have a VPN that will allow you to dial into their private network and access whatever resources you would normally access. You most likely won't be able to use CoRD with their external IP, since they should have a firewall in place to prevent that. Disclaimer: I'm no HIPAA expert, just worked with a client that needed compliancy.

I'm pretty sure what they have setup is compliant as it's a large scale network for healthcare providers. Though your explanation of the privacy could be why the CoRD program won't work with it. I'll have to look into HIPAA a little more and talk to the friend if she still wants it setup just to be sure that it's nothing that violates it if we were able to get it running with CoRD, however Citrix is the program they told her to use to access the database. Not sure what info is available but I don't believe it's as comprehensive as their in house database of patient information.
