Hey I just bought this tacoma and I was looking for suggestions what I could do to it. I was thinking lift it either 3 or 6 in, 17 or 18 in rims with 33 or 35 tires, exhaust? I would appreciate the suggestions. Thanks!

Whats your budget? OME front and back with some new blacked out rims or even a nice bronze!

If you are gonna wheel, stick to a three inch lift. 6 brings problems so I've heard. More rubber less metal! Go 17s on the rims! You'll have trouble fitting 35s without major trimming so 33s are probably your best bet.

This is a very popular lift that is economical as well. If you wanna get really crazy you could even purchase new UCAs. http://www.chaosfab.com/2005-2013-Tacoma-Upper-Control-Arm-Kit-96504.html or With that being said the sky is the limit. What exactly are you doing with the truck? Hunting? Camping? Expedition stuff? Mudding? Rock Crawling? Mall Crawling? If you give us a little more information we can try and steer you in the right direction.

I'm not sure if you have seen the suspension on TX Baja or Pro editions, but that kit is also pretty nice. I believe is somewhere around $1400, it will fit 33s (255/85/16 or 285/75/16 with a little plastic trimming)

You will get some people who hate on it, and will hate on whatever route you take with your truck. Just remember its your truck and you gotta do what fits you the best. Your the one who is paying for it, and has to look at it.

Then your best bet is the OME setup, or Bilsteins. They are adjustable up to 3 inches I believe. If you wanna go 6 inches that is also an option, in that case go with either a pro-comp, or Fabtech kit. Those seem to be the most popular and durable. As far as wheels go if your replacing them you mine as well go 17in rims like what was stated above, and around a 33in Tire. I would not go any bigger then a 33in as your MPGs will decrease greatly! If you don't drive that much 35s would be fine.

Look around in the vendors section on the left side of the homepage lots of cool goodies.

Wheelersoffroad.com will be a great place to look around
    along with 4wheelparts.com

If you come across something that catches your eye, try and use the search bar and you will get more information about that item then you will ever care to know about! if you cant find it, you searched the wrong word!

Here is another lift that is very popular with the Drop Bracket guys (over 3in usually requires the bracket)
