No mods, but LEDS all over.
Get the DJM 3/4. I'm pretty sure there's no difference until the 3rd gen Tacoma is out.

My setup is different and I haven't used any djm stuff. I have worked with a couple companies that do make suspension stuff for 5 lugs though.

Depending on your budget you may want to check out xii performance. Amy and buck Clayton. They're one of the best companies I've ever dealt with. They've easily saved me couple hundred in shipping over the course of my build. Their product is top notch too.

Tundra racing has good stiff too. Bolt in means bolt in with their stuff. Of course if it says you gotta drill then you gotta drill. This was the more economical route for lowering for me but I ended up wishing for better handling so some odd and end stuff have been switched out for the xii performance stuff.

I had my 2014 Limited lowered using a Kit from Tacoma Racing and well pleased with the INSTALL and Looks . As I did not want to have the suspension all butchered up .

I think that's the wrong kit. The op has a 5 lug. Tundra racing kit for non x-runners are also going to need a set of oem x-runner front shocks as they aren't included with the kit. Might want to take a look at xii performance coil overs for the front.

I have so many questions about lowering a 2013 base regular model

    1. will it affect the payload? I put in about 600 lbs of good in the back, wondering if that would damage anything
    2. can we install them our self? degree of difficulties? (1~10)
    3. looks like DJM control arm will fit 2013 tacoma (my model)? would that be the ultimate choice? seems like there is a DIY instruction on to 2011 model.

any more clarification or experience would be greatly appreciate it.
