Hell yeah, serious PIA when that outer shell swells or gets damaged. Hopefully someone will know if the doorman lugs are one piece or not ?

All the dorman lug nuts I have ordered in the past are one piece. I wish the two piece design would go away.

    Ditto!
I'm glad this thread helped folks.
I try not to start news ones without searching.

The only trouble with a really active forum is the search begins to return just so much good info one simply can't find the particular info sometimes.

I've run the studded Winterforces for years.
Turns even a humble front wheel drive minivan into a fearless snow monster.

4 are going on our Taco.
I'm a RN and Kathy and I do eldercare.

I need to be able to get down the road regardless of conditions.

I don't put them on until the first snow/ice/sleet flies.
    Take them off in March.
Spray them with some rubber preservative, bag them in big black trash bags, put them in a nice cool garage for the summer.
They last for years like that.

I just ordered a second set of the Winterforce UV with studs for the TACO, the last set lasted five years...I originally bought them for the Ram 1500...This will be the second set for the TACO, and first set for the jeep, the jeep just got done wearing out blizzaks.

While we have tried a variety of tires for the winter, the Winterforce UV/studs seem to have the best match of snow and ice grip, and cost FAR less, and wear better than studless tires like the Blizzaks. We are looking at snow on Saturday, and hopefully, my new tires and lugnuts will be in by then.

The snows come off in March, on in November and get stored in a nice cool storage locker...

Well I got the lugs today they are not a one piece design that's for sure so I guess I'll be sending them back and continue looking for a one piece one that's not over priced.. Like some...

Yea, mine came in on Wednesday afternoon, two piece, but I installed them anyhow, there is a foot of snow coming and I would rather not wait...

Shoutout to Wheeler's Offroad for the quick service.
They even called before shipping at my request to make sure I had the right ones.
And they included a decal and some candy in the box!

In some ways, the LT's are overkill, but between the potholes and all the trash and scrap metal, plastic car wreckage, etc. on wintertime I78, I wanted the extra plies.

Cool thing is for the first 3 years you feel like you are pulling 'brand new' tires out of storage. :D

We are getting the Winterforce UV in the P265/70R17 size, NOT the LT...for the winter, we don't need the stiffness. And for HEAVY LOADS the 68 dodge has six ply tires, the M37 eight ply:)

Glad Wheelers Offroad could help, I used them for the Billstien 5100 on the front. While I appreciate the good service of a specialized off-road supply house, for ordinary supply chain type stuff, Rock Auto is my go to place.

The lug nuts for the alloy wheels have a taper on the end that works with steel wheels (as in your spare tire/wheel) but also have the shank and washer for the alloy wheels. When you bolt up a steel wheel with the alloy wheel lug nuts they stick way out as the end of the lug nut seats on the steel wheel. perfectly safe for your spare and such, just looks strange. The standard lug nuts from a steel wheel will trash the alloy wheels as they clamp the wheel with the taper....not a good thing!
