My Lab has floppy ears. She also has dewclaws.

I wouldn't think of making physical alterations.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!

We bought our rescued buddy a fence. I'm so sorry to our boxer that he didn't have one, but he had a good life. And part of his, will make hers better.

It looked a bit worse before he cleaned it up. He broke a toe nail on the hind paws which left them a bloody mess. Otherwise the rear paws are fine. His two front pads look like this. The other one is slightly worse.

I don't have any advice, only good wishes. I'm glad you got him back, and hoping he's back to good health soon!

This is Jackson. Not sure what he is, except a wild man. He's roughly 4. Best guess he is some sort of terrier and golden retriever mix. We were sold on him as a "labradoodle" but he sheds...a lot...he also loves to dig, which is why I think terrier. We've had him 3 years and loved every minute.

Some labradoodles still shed and he seems to look the part so who knows. He might be one. I was sold a "catahoula" who may be more mutt than not. Don't care though, best $350 I have spent :p.

That happened to my dog about 2 weeks ago. I would clean his pads (spray antiseptic on a paper towel and rub his paws) then put a thick layer of bag balm on them. Put a piece of sterile gauze on it then wrap it up tight enough that it won't fall off but not too tight.

My thoughts exactly. I think the rescue 'fee' was right at $300. I'm not sure if I can include the cost I have incurred for the king size bed so he could snuggle with us, or the new house with fenced in yard that we moved into last winter so he could have a safe play area. Still...can't beat seeing that happy face when I walk in the door.

Last night there were 16 legs in bed. Pup, 2 cats, girlfriend and I. I was last in bed so I got last pick of where to lay. What an uncomfortable night haha

    Worth every penny.

My pup was a gift. Had I purchased her from a breeder/kennel, she would have been about $2,500. I'm training her, and she goes to pro training "camp" this fall. When she's a finished dog she could easily fetch (pun intended) 10 grand.
    Serious.

A small handful of select mods.
I agree with this thought^^. If you don't have bag balm use Vaseline. Poor guy. Glad you got him back.

I know how you feel. 28 legs in bed with me last night.

6 dogs, Wife, and myself. I need one of those custom beds they made for Shaq. King size isn't enough!

    welcome.

my Lab is only 15 months old. But I will cry like a little girl when she goes. I love her like oxygen.

I know i did, i got her when she was 3 months for Christmas when i was 7, she lived til she was about 13 which is a long time for purebreds I hear, but she was the best.

Best memory is when my family went dove hunting one summer, my dad alone shot about 15 or so, we put Nina in the back with all the birds and when we stopped for gas otw home we looked and all the birds were gone. Looked at my dog and her mouth was covered in feathers and blood. She ate all 15...God what an awesome day
