Is $40 per tire, install & balancing a decent price? Seems a bit high to me. I was thinking $30 max.

I am soo torn. I know I'm going with the coopers however I am not sure which size. I'm about to put on a full OME lift with the 884's up front and 3/8 spacers and dakars in the rear. I am still on the stock dungflops. I really want to go to the 255/85/16 but I'm worried about how much I'll need to trim, and the fact I'm in the 2.7 4 banger. I don't mind trimming mud flaps but don't want to go into cab mount etc.. And the truck is already a little sluggish with all my tools in the back. Any thoughts?

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
Just had 235/85-16s installed at America's Tire. $80 to mount, $5 environmental fee, $32 for TPMS rebuild, replacement certificates $94, tires $955. I wasn't going to go for the replace replacement certificates, but they discounted them for me. No real road noise except a slight hum with the windows down.

If a tire is damaged and can't be repaired I get a replacement.

Just got the Maxxs delivered to my house. They look awesome! But damn they are heavy. The 265 75 16 E weighs 56 lbs. I was hoping for the 49lbs that Tread Depot lists on their website. In comparison my old BFG TA KOs were listed as 51lbs in load range D. Oh well, I'm going to run the Coops.

I can get 10 a tire where I live. Keep looking. go to the place where the tire jockeys move fast, and they will be cheaper bc they need to do more vehicles

It is 12 bucks per tire at the shop I go to. 40 is a rip off!

Just pulled the trigger on some Cooper St Maxx. 285/70r17. They fit well, ride well, and have not rubbed yet. We will see how they rub wheelin but im optimistic. Paid $1100 out the door.

I opted for the 275/17 and yea I can feel it in the MPG. I don't think I can hit 300 miles out of a full tank of gas any more. I might get 280 now. When the truck was brand new I could get almost 320 on a long trip. I don't drive the truck, but maybe 300 miles in a month, if that. I have a company vehicle.
