I have a brand new set of Body Armor Rocksteps that have no rust or dents that will fit 05-15 Tacoma DC. I installed them on my 2014 DC a couple days ago and I like them but not the way they look with my tube bumper, so I'm selling these and am going to get a traditional pair of tube sliders. I'll pull them off my truck today so they will never see any rain or road grime until you install them on your Taco. These steps are heavy duty, around 40 lbs a piece and made out of 3/16" steel. I got them with the poly steps and I replaced the poly step screws that came with the kit with stainless steel screws so they won't rust on you. These will run you around $300 to $380 without the poly steps and you can get both on Amazon for $379.67.
I'd like to get $275 for the whole thing and I'll even help you install them cause it was definitely a two man job.

That sucks, because although I haven't myself looked at the underside of an access cab, I am about 90% sure theses steps won't work with one. These steps use the pre-existing mounting points under the rocker panel of a DC for no-drill installation. Those points span the length of the DC rocker panel so even if you have mounting points on the access cab, I believe the rear mounting point would be behind your cab as well as the front of your truck bed.

That being said, I'll tell you what I originally intended to do with these steps as something for you and others to think about, because although we have different cab lengths, I'm pretty sure we have the exact same frame.

While these rock steps are made out of 3/16" steel and are by themselves strong enough to be actual rock sliders, they are not welded or bolted directly to the truck's frame and instead use the factory step mounting points on the cab. Therefore, you would not want to put the full weight of the truck on these steps because even though the Rockstep can take the abuse, you would damage the underside of your truck because the cab mounts are not designed for this purpose. (below are some pics of the steps uninstalled)

So what I was planning to do was to first purchase this kit: http://www.coreswest.com/rock-slider-mounting-kit-8-leg/ along with some 1 3/4" X .120" wall 1035 DOM tubing from a steel shop. I would ditch the mounts that came with these steps and weld up the DOM tubing with the slider mounting kit to the back side of the Body Armor Rocksteps and walla, I would have no kidding rock sliders that would take the weight of the truck and any abuse you can throw at it while rock crawling. I think they would look freakin awesome if you ran plate bumpers on your taco, and it would probably work with either AC or DC since they both have the same frame and wheel base.

Anyway, that was my big plan before installing them with the supplied cab mounts and deciding they just didn't look right with my tube bumper.

 

Can you give me full length measurement. That would be pretty sweet. A lot of work but I like those steps. Not sure though.

 

Yep, that would be a lot of work. But they would be the world's coolest rock sliders for sure. Length from tip to tip is 77".

 

All you Access Cab owners out there:

I looked at an Access Cab Tacoma today and see that they have the same factory nerf bar mounting points under the rocker panel as my Double Cab, except that the rear most mounting point is located closer to the middle mounting point than it is on my truck. The mounting bracket that Body Armor supplied with these steps is not welded to the back of the step, but is bolted (see uninstalled pics from earlier in this thread). That being said, I'm pretty sure you could use these Body Armor Rocksteps on an access cab taco by drilling two new holes on each step for the rear brackets and use a tap and die set to thread them for the M8 x 1.25 bolts.

Easy, cheap and you get the same look for your Access Cab--just throwing that out there.

These are solid minus the mounting points. OP,thanks for the link as i was looking for reinforcements for mine. These are an upgrade over the NFabs steps. These are very unique and i added leds to mine that i scored off fleaBay. GLWS and morning bump.

 

No problem, Wattapunk, and thanks for the bump. Your Taco looks sweet! If you do weld these up and hook them to your frame please share...I keep looking at pics like yours and wonder if I shouldn't ditch my tube bumpers for plate bumpers...

 

I checked these out on Amazon and although they say

2005-2015, when I used the "do these fit?" tool it says they won't fit a 2015?

 

I've had that same thing happen on Amazon for other parts for my 2014 that I knew would fit.
All I'll say is that the Body Armor site says these will work with 05 to 15 Tacoma double cabs. They mounted up perfectly to my 2014 DCSB so unless they changed something for 2015 (seriously doubt it), you should be able to buy with confidence.

 

Most nerf bars will fit a 05-15 I remember when I had mine on my 07 I ended up selling them to a guy with a 14, and they fit just like they did on mine. Just FYI
