    Quick question for you guys. Ok so I got my shackle flip installed and want to extend the factory shackles 3.25" so total eye to eye will be 6.5" I'm doing this by cutting the existing ones, extending the tabs then welding them/boxing them in to prevent side flex.

    Should I be thinking about adding a panhard bar at this point or will I be ok with this length shackle? Springs are OME Dakar with and the front is a BDS 6" lift. The ass end is sagging a bit lower than the front hence the need for longer shackles. I will not be running spacers in the rear and will avoid it at all cost.

    Stock shackles are too flimsy to extend them that far. I think you'd be better off making or have someone make you new ones with thicker steel to support your truck

    But is the 3" longer part ok. The flimsy part I'm not worried about as they're getting doubled over

    I'm trying to find out The extended length and compressed length of my fox 2.0 shock m#985-26-118 to see if this mod will work with my lift. Couldn't find the specs on fox web site or any other site . I'm running the toytec fox suspension kit with AAL will I need a new leaf pack / limit straps?

    Thanks! It took a bit of figuring out as to what height to extend them to. I didn't feel comfortable with anything more than 3" or 6.5" total.
    I did not want the ride to be all wonky. Been on the road for two days since the lift and it rides great so far.

    I used the furthest back position on both frame and shackle for my AP leafs

    So, went to put on the new ATO shackles on this morning, bolt wont go through the sleeve. The sleeve is just too skinny and contacting the threads. I'm sure ATO will fix this, but wish I would've checked first before disassembling everything. Something to think about.
