A friend of mine does CF and he is gonna try and make me a grill for my Tacoma in CF. I liked the pro grill style but wanted to be able to put a mesh behind it, plus I wanted the bar in the middle removable so I can change up the look. We were wondering if there is any interest to help recoup some of our tooling costs? The parts in red primer will be CF.

It looks good, but I would try and make the TACOMA logo a cutout piece of the center bar. A lot of times when I see a badge from a vehicle stuck on the front grille, that's exactly what it looks like, a badge from somewhere else on the vehicle stuck to the center of the grille.

I think that's part of the reason the TOYOTA on the Pro grille works so well, it doesn't look like a badge, but an integral part of center piece. I think your setup will look great, especially with the CF, but I would try and figure out a better way to integrate the badge.

Thanks guys. It still needs some work because after primer I noticed some scratches that need to be filled in and a curve thats off a little. My friend will only mold it if its perfect. He says its a waste otherwise. Once complete we will get it sprayed with automotive paint then make the mold. Will update.

I like it, would be more interested if you made it a kit like Homer's to keep the cost down..

Definitely if there is enough interest. I asked about molding in threaded bosses/ tubes for mesh attachment so there is no glueing plus it allows changing of mesh. My ideal setup is kinda like the first pic with the "Pro" style bar in the middle. Not sure if I'll get tired of that look but the option to change it up is appealing for me.

Would you be stamping out individual letters? After looking again this looks like a Tacoma badge glued to a cf bar....

Yes that is possible. I have a contact that can laser out letters.

Yes this is possible also. The same shop I mentioned has done some work for the biggest offroad LED lighting mfg lasering some of their grills.

Thank you for all the feedback, inquiries, and interest.
