I would get some so you can get some stance goin on and not look like you're on stilts lol. Most popular are spidertrax 1.25" spacers

Thanks for the info! I always thought anything past 3 required a db. i never ventured past a 3inches on my previouse first gen so I'm a newbie at anything past that

Ok so I just drove my truck since lifting and the drive line vibe is pretty strong. I installed all pro standard springs and got 4 inches of lift. Yes 4. No they aren't expo's. I promise I got 4 inches. Now the problem is what degree shims do I get in combination with a carrier bearing drop. I'm trying to not unbolt the driveshaft if at all possible.

Majority of the time it will be the ujoints are shot. considering your truck is an 05, like my '06, my ujoints were shot and completely gone and thats what was causing 90% of my vibs. check the ujoints to make sure they arent blown before purchasing anything. if they are, then thats what youll have to replace, id suggest replacing all 3 at the same time if that is the issue, if they seem fine, id get the CB drop first before getting shims. because the Allpro leafpacks usually dont need them, I put them on before I realized that my ujoints were the reason my vibs were there. I got the CB drop and that helped a bit, then I got the driveshaft spacer that put the DS back into place where it was supposed to be

EDIT: this is what 2 of my 3 ujoints looked like

U joints seem fine. Only play in the driveshaft is from backlash in the diff

There is a good bit of play at the transmission output which is basically all the way out. Drive shaft spacer should fix that and probably correct some or most of the vibs. I also need an alignment but I don't that that has to do with it. So I'll start with carrier bearing drop and drive shaft spacer and go from there.

yup, thats the best route to take then, only way to find out since each truck is different when dealing with vibs

My only concern is I get the DS spacer and end up needing shims and the shims push the driveshaft too far in and I had to get a smaller spacer.

Shims won't push it in, if anything you'll gain about another 3/8" of lift.

    Wouldn't I gain ~3/8 lift and push the driveshaft I'm ~1/8

If that were the case when you lifted the rear 4" it would've pushed the DS in instead of pulling it out.

With 4" of lift it probably pulled the DS out close to an inch.

Just measured again after driving it and the rear settled down to about 3 inches of lift but yes the drive shaft is out 3/4 to an inch

Yeah seems like for every inch of lift it pulls out the DS about a 1/4".
I have 5.5" of lift & went with a 1.5" spacer & it's just about flush at the tranny, maybe set in a hair.

Sorry Alfuh but have to disagree about a db not riding as good as spindles. I put one on my truck because I didn't want my front wheels sticking out 3/4" on each side and then having to run spacers in the back to even things out. I also got a killer deal on mine so wasn't much more than the spindles.

Hi all. Have a few questions about the lift I'm about to do I'm currently running Icon 2.5 Extended CO's & TC UCA's up front followed by Icon's 3 progressive leaf pack & Icon 2.0 w/resis. I plan to get an overall height of 4" of lift. I already bought the spindles & Allpro Expos for the rear. My question is can I use my existing Icon shocks or do I have to get a different one? Also after everything is installed I know the spindles will push my wheels out a bit so will 1.25 wheel spacers in the rear help even them out with the front?
