Holders - do you mean crossbars or actual kayak raks?

We have the Yakima BowDown raks. Never used it on the tacoma but have used it on our formally owned SUV and will be using them on the new SUV soon.

We like the BowDown because you can leave them mounted on your rails (lockable) and fold them down for everyday driving. We were able to get the vehicle in the garage with them folded down. In the summer....It's nice to leave them on and fold them up - versus - taking them off each time.

The Yakima's are pretty interchangable with most (??) crossbars. We had them on our Acura MDX (OEM crossbars) and since bought another SUV without crossbars. We had to purchase aftermarket crossbars and they fit perfectly. You may need/want to verify with Yakima just in case (or feedback from here).
