I'll probably buy one despite the grill. Enough people like Tacomas that someone, somewhere will likely find a way to make it look good later.

Nope. I'll drive my '13 till it gives up the ghost. I tend to keep vehicles I like 10 years. By 2026 cars should fly and be powered by coffee grounds.

The day cars start flying, I'm fucking walking my happy ass. People been driving for over 100 years and STILL CAN'T drive, flying cars are cool in Back to the Future and the 5th Element. Now you're coffee grounds idea, I think you are on to something... and I'm on board!

I have a 2015 Tacoma on order since April 11th. I will most likely drive it a few years and then give it to my son to replace his 2011 Tacoma. Then I will buy a 2018 Tacoma.

I've had trucks since 1994. Then, in 2013, I got a small Subaru car due to a move that gave me a round trip commute of 55 miles. In short, I miss my trucks, and I have my eye on the 3rd gen, but the MPGs must come up. I'm not sure what that threshold is, but if GM can get mid 20s on the highway, I gotta think Toyota can do better than that. If not, I won't do anything for awhile.

I'm not 100% sold on the looks, but if it drives awesome, that would make the looks that much better...

Is it just me that thinks these look almost just like the new Colorado?? Look at em, they're spitting image of each other..guages and all..seems fishy, I can damn sure tell you I won't buy one just to find out its all Isuzu underneath.

Hopefully this limited is better than the current one that's basically a base model with chrome and leather lol

I will say none of us really know. But this is a good point. From what I have heard it will get a 40 horsepower gain which would be close to that of the RX engine.
I doubt we will see 28 mpg. I think we will see a little more mpg than that of the Lexus but nothing mind blowing.

No kidding, and the chrome on the wheels is a plastic cover to boot, brutal...

Lets hope that Toyota has upped their game big time or I for one will be moving on.

I will be buying one and know I will be able to change the grill down the line if I don,t learn to love it. Might not even have to be aftermarket as my guess is for 2017-2018 the Tacoma Pro will be released and probably.hopefully have a more subtle looking grill. I should just be able to swap that for the current grill.

After looking at more pics, especially the ones in glorious Desert Sand, I think the snout is truly porcine. I kinda like it.

Sorry, cross posted. Wrong thread the 1st time. This one is more apropos.

Its just you. I don't think they look anything alike. After seeing the Colorado on the inside I can say it looks very simple, not in a good way.

I am not sure why everyone hates the grill so much. Now if you were all complaining about the previous generation ford f150 honeycomb grill I could understand, I've always hated that. Or the 2nd generation tundra fake plastic piece on the top of the grill for no apparent reason then I could understand. Why did they even do that, why did they do that? What is it supposed to be? Why not just make it solid and not have it there? It's like someone said, "Hey, I have a way to cover that hole we accidentally molded to the top of the grill. We can just glue a piece of black plastic on it." At least the new tundra it looks like it belongs and is "possibly" functional.

Nothing about the new grille makes any sense, its way less functional and random, huge underbite, ridiculous large chrome grill that sticks out several inches from the radiator and actually truck frame, tiny ass headlights, weird fog light valance. I would say the Tundra's grille far outlooks and is far less ridiculous than the new taco grille.

Though I am not that fond of the chrome on the new grill I actually don,t mind the size and shape of it. The underbite is the bumper not the grill and I beleive it sticks out so it can collapse for some up coming safety standards. I hate the Tundra grill....the thing is the size of a large loveseat. But I also own a gen 1 Tundra and the grill is perfect IMO.

I like the new tundra grill. 2nd Gen styling looked terrible. Never really liked it. Looked Like a big bubble. I like the sharp angles including on the new Tacoma and tundra.

Hope more people hate it so I don't pay a premium for mine

I have to admit I'm in the minority because I love the look of the truck. Trying to pre-order one but in my area they aren't taking any as of today. I know I want a sunroof so if it's available in either of the TRD models I will probably go that way, if not I'll go for the Limited.
