Hey folks. I'm installing some glasswork fenders on my 06 Taco this weekend and was wondering what some of you guys came up with for relocating your Radio Antenna and air intake?

In the past on a chevy build i was able to shave the antenna and build a mount to run the antenna on the inside of the engine compartment but am not sure if i'll have the room on this one.

Also i haven't pulled the fender so i'm not sure if re installing in stock location is an option.

    Many Thanks.

I have a 1st gen but I just bent the bracket and the antennae and ran it under the fender

I chopped the plastic intake so that it would feed from the engine bay and welded some sheet metal over the hole in the inner fender.

I run a splitter so that my CB antenna does double duty as a CB and FM antenna. It's sold on Amazon, like $15. CB antenna is mounted to my bed cage.

Was considering doing something like this but from what I've heard it's not as good as the stock antenna. Care to shed any light on this for me?

Definitely not as good as a dedicated FM radio antenna. But I never listen to radio so it's a wash for me.

My antenna is just zip tied in the wheel well. Not as good as the original location, but I rarely listen to radio.

I ended up doing that. Cut the plastic with a hack saw and mounted it horizontally with zip ties. Think I'm gonna put a lil bit of rubber tube so it doesn't rub too hard. Works way better than no antenna though. Got all my stations back. And it was free!
