Installed yesterday...I'll post some more shots in my build thead.

882 coils and Dakars in the rear. Install was relatively routine, save for the heavy leaf spring install and unbolting of the parking brake clamp at the last minute.

Party like its post #1999. ;)

The Dakar's alone will sag and possibly hit the bumps, add the AAL(D6XL) from the get-go and you should be fine.

I have an AAL installed at the moment with my stock leafs. Would I be able to pair that AAL with the dakar leafs without any problems? Or would the d6xl be the way to go? I believe it's the 1.5'' toytec AAL.

Without knowing the specs of the toytec AAL I couldn't say. The D6XL inserts into the leaf pack as the 3rd leaf from the top, if the toytec one does also you could try it. If it was me I'd just buy the D6XL, 60 bucks and you know it will fit.

They were Mudstar tires and some random steel rims.
Have since changed to Wheeler's type B steel rims and Goodyear Duratrac tires, which is a much better setup. Had to change when the Mudstars wore out and Tundra calipers wouldn't fit with the old rims.

OME Suspension 2" lift, Leer high-rise topper w/ sleeping platform.

Couple of Dirtbikes? No problem. I drive around every day with a topper, with permanent sleeping platform (100ish lbs), and assorted tools/gear. It is no problem when I add assorted camping gear + water, riding gear, and the dirtbike on a 'floating' style hitch rack. (not trailer). Hardly any sag, plenty of travel to still drive off the pavement.

Honestly, the only bad part is at 5'8" I am almost too short to get the bike on the rack. I would recommend longer ramps, or a sloped drive to assist with loading. This is a problem I am happy to deal with . Very happy with my Dakars.

I just ordered a complete OME with 881 springs. I'm hoping anyone can chime in with any issues they've encountered with their install. I have a 2002 regular cab 4x4. Any help would be appreciated.

Where did you order from? My '96 is a little different in the rear, but when I ordered my kit from Rocky Road Outfitters it did not come with all of the bushing sleeves for the rear leaf packs. Learn from my mistake and make sure you have all the pieces before you pull your leaf packs off.

Otherwise, the common recommendations that other people make will get you along just fine. Such as:
-Make sure to start spraying all your bolts every day with PB blaster or WD40 a week or so before you install.
-Get new u-bolts (if they don't come with your kit)
-Just go for the 10mm (I think) leveling spacer right off the bat, rather than trying to do it later
-you will save yourself time if you take both old leaf packs off, then install both new ones, rather than muscling one at a time.
-Have a few different heights of jackstands, including some low ones that will allow you to support the fully disconnected axle at a low enough height to get your new leaf packs in.
-Lastly, just get the extended brake line and install it (or have it done) before you do the rear. It will make the job easier.

    P.S. Recommend grease-able shackles.

Ok well after reading all 100 pages of this thread over the last several days I'm days from pulling the trigger on either 881's with spacers or 882 's and Dakars in the rear. Have no intentions of adding weight to the front and the back is a full time fiberglass topper and rubber mat. I'm thinking if I decide later I need more in the back I'll probably switch out shackles. I currently have 285/75r16's running on a Daystar leveling spacer kit on the front and longer shackles in the back. Right now it rides as rough as a logging trailer so I can't wait to get this done. Only question I have is about tires. As much as I love the look of the 285's I'm considering eventually going smaller for gas mileage and for less general wear and tear on the truck. It's a 99 Prerunner TRD with almost 200k that I've owned about 3weeks now and slowly but surely I'm getting all the kinks worked out. I'm considering something between a 285 & 265/75r16.

I posted here a few months back asking questions and getting tips/advice for the install. I got my OME springs installed, and have ~3,000 miles on them now. I've only got great things to say about the ride, compared to the junk that was on the rig previously. I have a camper shell, sleeping platform, gear, and will soon have a plate bumper from 4xInnovations. The springs do NOT have the AAL, but I'll keep y'all posted if I add them.

Well considering I have no plans for heavy bumpers or a winch I figured I'd appreciate the smoother ride of the 881 or 882's. Really hadn't considered the 883's. If I had a 4x4 and therefore would be wheelin allot more I'd be looking at them too I guess.
