My canopy comes equipped with attachment anchors running lengthwise underneath the rack. I'm looking for ideas for a "cargo net"-type of attachement to be able to shove flat-ish gear up there.
I'm gone the route of the bungie-cord-mesh like this:

But for my purpose it's a bit too light. I'm looking for ideas for somthething stronger.
The anchors are plenty strong, bolted into reinforcement rails sunk in the fiberglass.

I'm considering for zip-tying some Tenax plastic mesh from Home depot on top of the bungie net to add rigidity: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Tenax-3-ft-x-15-ft-Plastic-Black-Hardware-Net-751397/100384025

    Any thoughts or ideas welcome.

That video is pretty interesting. I like what they've done but for flexibility purposes I can't see myself ever going for it.

Interesting video. But all that weight overhead with turn into a heavy cabin-bound projectile should his truck get rear-ended.

I'm looking for something not that permanent and a bit lighter.

It's in an aluminum box attached to the cap roof , you think you would be better off with a bunch of stuff up there in a cargo net ?

Absolutely. Heavy stuff down in the bed, light stuff in the cargo net.
