Hey everyone, been a long time lurker of the forums and finally decided to make an account and post an intro. I have a 2009 DCSB 6 speed that i have owned since it had 5kms, i just passed 130,000 not to long ago. Truck started out as a work truck but now I have plans for a expedition build.

I'm narrowing down my search for suspensions and would welcome any suggesting people are wiling to give me. Currently i'm thinking of either ICON or KING 2.5 extended travel coil-overs, and a TC UCA up front. Out back i'm still not 100% and would like some opinions. At first i'm just going to have my LEER shell on it and i'd like to get a Roof Top tent and racks, in a couple months here for a camping trip i'm taking in August. Good height to accommodate that weight is going to be important.

As far as interior upgrades, i'm looking to do some stereo upgrades. New double din headunit, speakers amp and sub behind the seat. Still not sure which pieces i'm going to go with here.

I'd like to get suspension completed in the next few weeks.

Here's a picture of what i'll be working with...

    Welcome!
Front suspension mainly depends on one thing.. What kind of wheeling you do.. If you go fast and more desert then go icon since it has digressive valving (softer the faster you go) if you are doing slower speeds and crawling get King with its progressive valving (softer the slower you go)

Out back Id get Dakars to hold the weight of an rtt, you will wareout a AAL pretty quick so don't get one of those with stock springs. All pro leafs are another option but they have been reported to go flat quick and they are more expensive. If you really want to hold a lot of weight get the dakars with their AAL. I love mine.

I live up in northern Canada and temperatures can hover in the -40 to -50 celcius range for a week or more at a time...saying that I've heard some negative things about king when it comes to cold weather.

Out back I was thinking Dakar as well, trying to track these parts down in Canada seems to be more challenging than I first thought.

One of the suspension shops up here had nothing good to say about king or fox but was all over me for BDS and rancho... Any thoughts?
