Tablet GPS is up and running! Love it so far

Downloaded a bunch of imagery and topo for the cool areas of WY and it all seems to be working perfectly offline with Backcountry Navigator.

    More shed.

Finally got it up and the tin on. Been a drawn out project due to the rain we've had for the past week+. Feels good to have it done and some storage in the backyard.

Not super stoked on the color we ended up with but it's gonna work just fine. The Tin on the roof is re-used from our recent house roof fix. Free is good! Also, gonna re-touch the paint tomorrow lol. Got lazy and just wanted to get the paint down.

Thanks Andrew! Been waterproof through all the rain we've had recently which is a relief

Teaser shots of the RokBlokz that came in this week. There will be much more on these in an install and review post to come. Easiest install ever and perfect fitment!!! Stellar product. So glad to have flaps on the front again, too much rock damage to my sliders and under the truck to keep rolling with no flaps...

Yea no flaps is cool until the mud thing and everything flying all over wears on you. Plus I hope this stops some of the rock damage i've got on my rear shock shafts.

I'm going to get something like a boot over the shafts soon but anything can help until that happens...

I don't like boots as they can get too full of shit.

Maybe like some rubber like mud flaps draped over them so they flex a bit and only shield the one side.

Those look great. Regarding shock protection I've considered getting a pair of these.

Yea just like that Jeremy. I'll probably try to make something like that out of plastic I can find at the local store. Thanks for the link I may need it if my ghetto version doesn't work haha

Had a great weekend at a good friends place. Thanks goes to Monte for all the welding and fab time!

In a nutshell, I added Rokblokz mudflaps, TC spindle gussets, and limit straps up front.

First, a few photos from my trip home on Memorial day. I had to go the long way which included about 55 miles of dirt road because the wind river canyon was closed due to mudslides and rocks covering the road. Was a rewarding long way home, beautiful scenery.

I installed the mudflaps late last week but needed to modify the mounting a bit since i had cut off a portion of the fender that the mudflap is supposed to mount to. I ended up getting a shelf bracket and epoxying it to the fender on the inside and then bolting the flap mount to that which turned out great.

I found the install to be extremely easy and they even include some clear vinyl strips to protect your fender where the flap mounts around the outside. I love how these give more coverage and was loving them on the muddy dirt road home!!!

I think they look awesome! Thanks for putting out a great product for the tacomas with bigger tires Rokblokz!

Next, the truck got parked in the shop and we got to work on the limit straps. Originally I was going to mount the straps off the front of the coilover inbetween it and the tie-rod. After Monte and I cycled the suspension and had some looking we decided that was a dumb place for the strap since we couldnt figure out a spot for the top mount that wouldnt eventually tear the tie-rod boot... So we decided the next best spot was behind the CV on the back of the arm by the bumpstop. We cycled it and decided on a spot, fabbed up some mounts and a small frame reinforcement plate to weld the clevis bung to. Turned out awesome and it's been working awesome!

Monte, cutting down the frame plate. Was fun to photograph!

Next were the spindle gussets. These did not fit super well and required some grinding to get the gaps tight enough for welding. Took our time and pre-heated the spindle to get the best weld we could. Thanks Monte, you rocked it!
