whats up tacoma world hawaii. i've been wanting a tacoma for years and i finally got mine. double cab prerunner sports package magnetic gray. i already got an itch to do a small lift. any cheap recommendations for starters?
also did anyone get the alarm from servco? wondering if its worth getting their alarm vs an after market alarm or none at all?
and was looking for a 2nd opinion on the extended warranty. i got a good price the truck so at the time I thought why not. but now that im thing straight i will probably cancel unless anyone thinks its worth it. haha.

sorry for all the questions, first time new vehicle buyer and i just want whats best for my new investment, and i know this would be the best place to get answers. mahalo.

I have never heard of Servco alarm system but I got a KARR alarm system from the dealer and I would not recommend it to anyone. I was under the impression they were going to install the factory alarm but did not. I have had issues but the did fix them. Not in any hurry though. I got the extended warranty and I would just say keep it for piece of mind. Just my opinion. Although I am sure others will say extended warranty is stupid on a taco

thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

servco is the toyota dealership here in hawaii. not sure exactly what kind of alarm they install but i was thinking to go after market also. thanks for your opinion on the warranty. its a 3rd party limited warranty with allstate thats why im questioning it

That is a strange warranty. I haven't heard of a third party warranty but idk :notsure:. My extended warranty was through Toyota.

    Welcome to TW.

They install the Toyota VIP(Vehicle Intrusion Protection) RS3200 Plus alarm. I've heard of ASC Gold before but I didn't even know they offered third party limited warranty. The alarm was the only option that I picked when I got my Pro. Opted out on everything else they try to sell you.

Sweet, so much for me having the only Inferno on the island haha. I'm surprised it still hasn't sold. That price just scares potential buyers away.

the older ASC gold warranty use to be Fully refundable after the terms expired now whatever warranty plan they offer isnt refundable which sucks because my last 2 toyotas i had that warranty and both i never did use it and i got my money back.

as for alarms you can go with the Factory VIP alarm. which isnt much more then a fancy remote lock/unlock alarm based off a glass breaking sensor. it isnt even motion activated if i remember correctly

third party warranty- am not sure how Servco deals with it but i know for a fact BMW (has noting to do with toyota) but they dont work on vehicles with 3rd party warranty. so you have to find a regular repair shop that will deal with 3rd party warranty
