sweet..now ur jst gonna laugh at set up
i want.. lol i just gotta stock daily driver
Thinking about xd spy 17x9 (they may make in 17x8 also) and at2 tires. Problem im having is finding store that seems knowledgeable in max tire size without trimming and hopefully just barely sticking out past wheel-well.

To hell with Town Fair! I use to work at VIP in Bath, if you decide on a tire size, they will put it on. If it is not legal size, just bring in the wheels off the vehicle and do a "Snow Tire Swap" (Its cheaper anyway) Then just schedule an appointment for an alignment, go home, bolt on wheels, bring truck in get alignment and Vualla!!

Or as the french say, Viola.

Also, Chemdawg, TFT will typically install tires on loose wheels with no questions asked as well.

    Edit-
If you're in the Bangor area, have you gone to see the guys at Truck Works? They specialize in that sort of thing.

Hello Mainers- I'm headed up to my buddy's camp near Sugarloaf this weekend and will be doing some fishing in the area. Anyone know of/willing to share some places to get my truck dirty around there?

We actually leave next week. Hashed out the trip a little more, going to spend 3 days getting there, 1 week there, then 3-4 days back, going to stay an extra day in DC on the way down (I've never been and my kids will love it, they're 6 & 8)

I've been prepping a bit, to be honest I am a bit nervous about the drive, I hope the truck, and family, show up in one piece :)

    Topper put back on

Then I saw this at the dealership while getting an alignment...sure looked nice!

There's a bunch of logging roads around that area (active and disused) that you can go exploring on. Most of them cross over brooks/streams that offer some decent brook trout opportunities.

If you're in Carrabassett, on the left (if you're headed towards Stratton) about a mile past the Mountainside Grocery store is a dirt road called Caribou Pond Road. If I remember correctly, it's just past the Transfer Station (you can literally see the road from the driveway at the TS).
If you follow that a ways you'll run into the South branch of the Carrabassett River, and eventually (after about 8 miles or so) Caribou Pond itself.

Last time I was up that way was a few years ago, but the road was still passable at that point, and I caught a bunch of brookies.

But, like I said, there's a TON of logging roads up there; pick one and get lost! Most of them have streams running alongside or under them at some point if you want to fish.
    Have fun!

Edit- If I remember correctly, if you follow that road up to Caribou Pond and take the Left past the pond, the road continues on for quite a ways further and has a spur that connects to the Appalachian Trail, if you were feeling adventurous.

Wow you weren't kidding about all the logging roads in that area! I logged a good 50 miles yesterday just cruising around roads in the woods and getting lost. Saw 2 moose, but didn't catch any brookies. We caught a few nice pickerel and bass on Saturday at Flagstaff lake. Solid weekend all around. Really nice country up there.

lol, yep. Tons of them. It's actually faster to go from Flagstaff Lake to The Forks on logging roads than it is on paved ones, haha!
Glad you had a good time; that area really is gorgeous. Wish I could live up that way, but job opportunities are kind of thin on the ground.
