Good day folks! I'm contemplating replacing my fading Nightshaded tail lights with something bought that is tinted / LED. Can you guys post up pics of your purchased tinted tail lights, with info on brand, quality, and where you found them?

I've been searching E-bay for some, but not sure what brand to buy... and what they actually look like on the truck, in daylight.....

Thanks in advance for your pics! :)

Haven't seen many tinted options for the Tacoma, all those I did find (on ebay) had other deal-breaker issues (style, etc). Ended up with the black Depo lights. They aren't perfect, but they are the closes I've found without pulling them apart and painting the lights myself.

You can replace the lights back there with LEDs pretty cheaply. Also, my localshop quoted $50 per tail light for tinting. I'll consider that after the BHLM ;)

Thanks for the replies guys! I like the idea of the newer style OEM LED's, just wish they came in a tinted plastic lens. Mine have been tinted with Nightshades, and look decent, but are starting to lighten up, and looking more stock-like now. I might have to chase down some OEM LED's and nightshade those.... or... bring them into a paint shop, and have them do it.... wet sanding and buffing mine were a PITA! LOL

Don't tint the lens and ruin the output. Huge safety risk.

I modify the stock tail lights and paint them inside. Isn't cheap, but it's done the right way.

Hey guys I just posted my own thread and then saw this one. Anyone know of any lights that use CCFL or another neon like technology? I want to match my halo head lights and so far all I can find is LED. Theses are LED but this is the basic idea

You could always paint them. Long and tedious job if you do it correctly but the results are worth it IMO

CCFL or LED parking lights in the rear would be cool if you could shape the tube to the design you want. I would stick to LED for the actual brake lights though, for the response time. I know CCFL and neon can come on pretty quick, but I'd be worried that they're not bright enough initially.
