2004 Tacoma 4WD, non TRD - Stock Leaf Springs?

    Thanks for the info and thoughts, keakar. I'm starting more and more to think that the standard is actually the stock part, and there was a goof either at the dealership (twice), or that there is an error in the system they are using to look up parts. Hopefully I'll get to the bottom of this on Tuesday.

    Is there anybody out there with a 1st gen 4WD that had their leafs replaced recently with the stock part, maybe as part of a frame replace? If so, could you tell me if your bottom leaf is 3 feet long or 22 inches? That would be a great data point.

    For the record, the heavy duty leaf springs are not the stock parts for the truck. Dealership goof. I'll be swapping off the heavy duty for the standard (and saving $120).

    Just curious why you don`t want the heavy duty springs ?

    Then maybe your truck is not used as a Truck .

    I like the lift and the handling of my current setup. The reason I was paying for the expensive OEMs was to ensure I would keep the same lift and handling. I do not want to pay more money to take a chance that those will change in ways that I do not like.
