I bought the kit from marlin crawler because I'm lazy but damn it was easy to install took me a couple tries to get the breather in the right spot so I could still close my gas cap but other than that piece of cake.

Okay... so I'll ask my diff breather mod question here since it didn't get answered in the actual thread.

If extending it to behind the gas door or tail light... should I use a breather cap/check valve/one-way valve at the end or go with a free breathing solution such as the fuel filter pictured in the OP?

I've seen arguments both for and against both products.

    Thanks in advance.

I just reused the original breather cap that I took out of the axle. Took some work to get it to fit but seems to do its job well.

I just used the parts found in this thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/my-differential-breather-mod-photos.111954/ I relocated it behind my driver tail light. Used zip ties to hold it up there.

Might have to look into this..

It wouldn't make sense to extend it if you are going to leave the check valve part in.. If you think about it the check valve only lets air out not in, so it won't let dirt or mud or water through it. The reason you extend it is because your leaving it open so it can breath in and out instead of just out IMO.

Got these fake projector headlights off of ebay that im gona43A51E47-EC68-45F0-8967-3B1195811EA4_zps_798e56515c35096da5b20455128236fc9e176f6a.jpg be retrofitting. Put them in out of curiosity and I cant believe these are even being sold. They shoot light in random spots and lines everywhere. It would be a problem for oncomming traffic if they were half as bright as you would want a headlight.

Yeah after reading that other diff breather mod thread (didn't know two existed) it makes sense to put in a two-way/free breathing breather. Probably going to put it behind the gas door rather than behind the tail light so 1. it would be somewhat protected when I wash it and/or rains and 2. I can check on it easily.

I have it behind the gas door at the moment, I don't mind it. Eventually I'm going to get that ARB breather kit though and run all my breathers to it. The breathers up front are technically still on a check valve too and are not just open.

I found a sick 24" light bar at first. Then closer look was not so good. Note to fakes if you're going to try copy Rigid Industries. Make sure you spell Rigid right. The fake was Riged Industries Lmao

Got mine behind the gas door too. Hardest part was it was a tight fit and the plastic it was mounted to had to be finessed a bit.
