    Yep, we got a ton of rain that day.

    Camera is working fairly great. The weird thing is playing with all of the extra settings, like close up, portrait, landscape, etc. I feel like just setting it to auto does a better job at what that specific setting was supposed to do. The one I do find useful is sports. It sets the shutter speed lower than auto usually does (1/1000, while auto usually does 1/250) and burst mode is automatically on. Other than that I am still learning about some of the manual settings.

    That last tip was how I learned where to put the shutter speed when messing around on shutter priority. haha I tried taking some pics with really fast and really slow shutter speeds that turned out horrible.

    I'll have to look for the bracketing feature.

    the bracketing might be listed as AEB - auto exposure bracketing. I used it a lot when I was learning. Still do sometimes when I'm just not sure.
    for shutter speeds - moving things like a person walking should be good around 1600 or faster, moving things like a car moving would be around 3200 or faster. slow shutter speeds are tough, you gotta be still - think of it like shooting a rifle at a long range. line up, take a deep breath, aim, shoot, exhale. waterfalls and rivers are a good place to practice. learn to catch the water drops in mid air or make the water look all wispy.

    some progress is better than none :thumbsup:

    Well, you have been a little busy with stumps lately. ;) Sounds like you're slowly winning that battle though. :thumbsup:

    Going good. We really enjoyed the Iowa trip. I'm behind on my yard chores though. Getting caught up, hope to get the backyard sectioned off by this weekend so I can seed it and get some grass to grow. Have to do two phases so the pups have a section available to them.
