Imo no. That a base DC. Brand new 2015 DC TRD SPORT trucks are 29 plus tax here. Even with a good quality ome lift etc it isn't worth more than 25.

I saw that. Imo a truck isn't a truck if it's not 4wd being up on the northeast here. I just can't rationalize buying a used truck that's basically 3 years old for just a few grand less than what I can get one new for, ya know? I'm presuming you're financing... Why not just buy a new one and then you know where it's been, how it's been treated, and build it exactly like you want...

Last October I paid ~$20k for my '13 Access cab w/convenience package, Leer hardcover and OE fogs added, 8,600 miles.

So the question becomes how much are the 4 door and 4wd components worth? How much does 20k more miles take off?

I don't know the answer, either in street value or value to you. Just offering some point of comparison.

I haven't seen the equivalent 2015 truck for just a few grand more in Texas...
I looked at 2015's and essentially I would be out ~34k w/ TTL for something similar, not in the budget

I'm going to agree with these guys that it's not a bad deal, but it's not a good one either. It's fair, and that's about all I can say about it.

I picked up a 33,000 mile TRD OR, DCSB, auto, V6 for $27,000 even... TTL, fees, etc... $30,000 ... Just as a frame of reference.

Thanks for the help fellas. Sounds like its a descent deal, been looking for a great deal on/off for 6 months and haven't been able to score one...I've even had a dealer friend of the family looking at auctions around Texas and he hasn't found anything either
    Guess I'll sleep on it

Agreed. I just bought my 2015 double cab Trd sport 4WD brand new for 29,900. Out the door. I'd search online at Toyota dealerships in North Carolina (known for a great state to buy cars). Then bring the deal to your local dealership and they should match it. If they want your business. It kills me when I see trucks on Craigslist going for 33000 and they are a year old. But that's the great thing about Toyotas- they hold their value. Take your time and get the best deal- you'll enjoy the new car smell and the assurance nobody has been messing with your ride who isn't qualified to pick up a wrench.

I doubt it... TTL was a significant jump in price for my 2013. $27,000 negotiated price but $30,000 after TTL.

Still shows that a dcsb trdor can be gotten for ~29/30.

So- good point about TTL- but...I was in luck then because I traded in my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon and that was "worth" more than the cost of the Tacoma, so I did not have to pay any taxes on the Tacoma. Pretty weird- but nice how it worked out. The title fee was $68.00 and the license wasn't much either (don't remember specifically). So in my case, the out the door price did "include" TTL. :) It was nice, I owe less on the car note and I got a newer vehicle- first time that has EVER happened. haha.
