    help please!
2013 taco touchscreen/head end unit broken stopped working.
Yesterday as I was pulling into a parking spot, I smelled a burning smell from my cab. Didnt think much of it, parked and went to work.
When I got back in the truck the display went white screen and turned completely off- no power no display.
I am bummed out. Is this common or some kind of freak mishap. I have the basic unit without the navigation. Do not think this is covered warranty - I have 45,000 miles on it.
Will I need a new unit or should I check a fuse or something? Thanks.

Doesnt the warranty period end at 36,000 miles?

This may be in your future.

I don't like touchscreens also; seems too short lived.
