True, but he did say since it's an Aftermarket key he could not guarantee it, and asked if I wanted to proceed... I fucked myself...

    Next up is wheel spacers.

I noticed they come in sets of 2. Probably a dumb question, but I need 4 right? Just want to make sure you also do the back. I want all 4 to stick out the same.

Also, with stock ride height, it won't cause any rubbing by adding these will it? I have a slightly bigger than stock tire, 265/70R17. I'm eventually going to lift it but for the time being it will remain the same.

if i recall, that 265/70r17 is the stock trd sport tire size. regardless, if you encounter any rubbing, it is easily fixed. dont be scared to cut up the fender liners

Thanks! I'll be waiting a bit, but I will be doing this for sure. I priced some stuff today so once I see a 'free shipping' promotion going on I will jump on them. My end goal is to lift 2.5 to 3 inch and get 285/75R17 tires. Add the spacers and be all set. I don't need tires for a while but when it comes time, I'll be ready...

Be careful its a slippery slope. You think it will stop at a lift, but it won't. Next it will be full skids, gears lockers, bumpers ect, ect

I just remembered there is a off road shop in the area. "4 wheel parts" on Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh. Anyone use them? I see on their website they also have free shipping on $75 orders. Toytec has a 5% discount code for TW members but with shipping it's not saving anything. I can just ride up to 4wheel parts store or order online the same. They have the spacers for $99 but I need to look at their site on an actual computer to see what else they got. It is not iPhone friendly.

Me random little parts like that are fine, but bigger items I like to get from TW supporters,. I bought my Spacers directly from Spidertrax, at that time they were the only ones that had the black ones in stock. THe pricing was same as everyone else.

I know everyone on here is anti-spacer lifts - but put aside your love for Bilstein 5100 or your google image search for busted shocks - for me, someone who drives no more than 10 miles a day in the Taco (I work from home and use it to go to the gym less than a mile a way or to Home Depot/Lowes, which is just a little over a mile a way) would they be OK? I occasionally will drive it to the beach (Emerald Isle, roughly 170 mile trip from my house) but that would likely only be during the fall during fishing season. In those instances I would also probably drive it on the beach to the fishing spot, but it isn't any crazy off road stuff. Aside from taking the occasional dirt road, this would be the extent of my "off roading." I've been reading about everything, pretty much non-stop (I'm pretty sure it has now ruined my marriage). Some people HATE spacers, some people love them. I can't figure out who to believe. I feel like for a truck that will be well kept up it would be fine to stick some spacers up front.

The only thing I know for sure is that I don't want blocks in the back. If I do go the spacer route (really any route at this point), I am going to do an AAL in the rear.

I have narrowed down the spacer lifts to either the Toytec 2.5" with AAL in the back that I have found shipped for $227.96 or the Daystar 2.5" lift with blocks in the rear which I have found shipped for $130.14. I would obviously get an AAL on it's own to put in with the Daystar lift instead of the blocks. The alternative would be Billy 5100 up front but the only way to get the 2.5" is to max out the length and I have read that you really shouldn't go above the 1.75 mark and people end up adding a .25 spacer anyway on top of those to either fix the 'bro lean' or to get a little more. So...in that situation, what is the point of spending the $ on the shock in the first place if you are putting on spacers too? (if it is strictly for performance/off-roading then that is a mute point for my situation). Like I said yesterday, I just want to get some height so I can get the 285/75R17 tires when I am due for a change.

On a side note, I have found the spidertrax spacers shipped for $189.98 (all 4 corners). That seems like a pretty good deal to me.

ride comfort, spend the extra money and do it right. i know a guy that had a spacer lift and not even 5 minutes into riding in my truck (i have the OME lift kit) he was blown away at how much more comfortable mine rode vs. his.

They'd be fine. Most determine after running a spacer that they are rough or they want more. @RaleighTaco being one. He might still have his spacer around and for sale.
