Has anyone ever had their AC work intermittently? I have this problem, on some days my AC works and blows cold air and there are days when I turn it on and it doesn't work at all. I took it to the service department where I bought my truck from but they can't seem to find the problem. Any help or advise will be appreciated. Thank you...

I would assume the service department has checked the system pressure? If the system is properly charged and not leaking refrigerant, it could be an electrical issue not turning on the A/C compressor clutch.

start there. that's an easy DIY job you'll know if it's a leak or different issue.

Yeah, most cars have a low pressure switch that will cut the compressor clutch out and I'm assuming this truck does as well though I've not taken mine apart yet to find one. The clutch will engage briefly on initial startup and drop off. You can get a recharge kit that comes with a pressure gauge and will tell you on the bottle what pressures to expect at various ambient temps. You're looking at about a $20-$30 investment. If that's not it you may have an electrical problem. Or... a short circuit between the ears ;)

Does the fan stop blowing cold air or doesn't blow at all. If it doesn't blow at all, it could be the blower motor resistor.
