    Hey Guys,
I have a 2010 tacoma and recently started having issues with my factory auxiliary plug/port. At first, the sound would only play on one side of the truck, so I bought a new cord thinking that was the issue. Turns out, it was not the cord. Now with the new cord, I can rotate it in circles and eventually the sound will come out. I tried to diagnose the problem, but I would like some advice before I take it to the local stereo shop where they charge 70 dollars an hour. Thanks

Don't take it to them. Go on YouTube and look up the fix. You have to solder a connection that comes loose. Just search Toyota aux input fix

Is this possible if I don't have a solder gun? Would buying the new part for $75 do the same thing

A solder gun would be cheaper. You could buy the new part but risk the same problem
