Well it's on. The fipg gasket is setting up over night. Hopefully i can get to the compressor this weekend. I'll put something over the air line opening on the diff for now. Took me about 4.5 hours by myself (still need to bleed brakes + fill diff)

Will report back with how the 5.29's are tmrw.

Haha I wish too.. I ended up getting little vacuum caps to put on the ends of the brake lines wirh the brake fluid too. Woulda worked great if I hadn't spilled all of it trying to get the brake line back onto the drum lol..

So to all the guys wondering about 33's w/ the 5.29's (auto 3rz)

It seems like it definitely accelerates easier up hills and doesn't just have a dead zone of not being able to accelerate without down shifting and having severe RPMs. However when on the freeway it definitely lacks top speed, I really have to get on it to go 75.. It seems good for stop and go city driving, when parking on a hill it will climb slowly up the hill by itself without giving it gas.

It's better than it was with the 4.56's since I generally don't go over 75 very often on the freeway, but I think I will enjoy it more when I have 35's.

What were your RPM's at 75mph?
    Thanks

Didn't get an exact # but at about 69/70 mph (with over drive and etc power enabled) I was at 2800 RPMs. Without overdrive it would have been quite a bit higher.
I'd guess 75 mph with O/D would be around 3200rpms give or take.

It was actually closer to 3k RPMs @75mph w/ over drive on (going downhill) without overdrive it was around 4k.
Got a few goodies in the mail yesterday, this fire ring thing from firestik looks a heluva lot better than the regular coax cable, wish I woulda gone this route from the get go..

Got a lot done today.. Got my cksa12 mounted, finished re wiring my coax cable for my cb radio, and fixed my seat.

Here is the spot I selected for my cksa, I think it came out pretty nice and tidy.

Anyone know if this screw is supposed to be in the solenoid on the compressor?? In the instructions it said make sure there isn't anything in there but it came with the screw in there from the factory...??

    Or

Edit: I think the screw is holo, duh.. All the pics I saw had the screw in.

Ran the air line to my compressor and ran the wires inside the cab. Last thing I need to do is a little cutting to make these switches fit on the dash board. hooefully I'll get time to test the locker out this weekend.

Sub'd. My rack's leaking too so I'll be watching for tips. Rack Doctor ha, that seems like a good choice. Or NAPA.

Just checked my compressor for leaks and every single threaded joint I had put together was leaking except for one haha... I had used only Teflon tape thinking it would be fine. So I whipped out a can of pipe dope and then put Teflon over the dope and bam no more leaks.

about to go pick up a 17mm flare nut wrench from oriellys..

Ill try to take enough pictures to make a little guide, no guarantees though because of how oily my hands will probably be lol.

No worries, I know how these things go.

Edig: I'm attaching a word doc that someone sent me in preparation of my future rack replacement. Hope it helps.
