    Looking for a rack system for my 2008 Tacoma DCSB. Would like to utilize it for hauling a kayak or canoe when camping so that I have space in the bed for supplies. Pro's - Con's? Which manufacturer is better? OEM roof rails?

    stock for now
    i second roof rack for kayak use. I like my Baja flat rack because of the low profile. A littly pricey but no complaints. Bolts right to stock with no drilling (except for the rubber bit)

    17' Royalex canoe, no support aft of the roof rack, secured really (probably too) snug to rear end of truck, high speed, seriously rough logging road ("might" have had all 4 wheels off the ground a couple of times)

    @SonomaSport I just got a prinsu rack that I'm using for two 12 ft kayaks. they're about 30 inches wide. As long as you get the right mounts to go on the rack you'll be good. A lumber type rack would work well too.
