I love this bumper!!!! Negotiating what lights I want to mount on it now.

Installed my new Diehard 31M battery and Pelfreybilt Offroad battery cage. The other option to a dual battery setup. Built out of stainless steel and mounts in the OEM location with heavy duty stainless J hooks. This thing is solid!!

Going to be watching how they work for you very close. I'm not getting full droop out of the expos with the stock reverse shackle... I cannot afford to lose any weight carrying capacity so that is why I've always stayed away from flips.

Id encourage you to try them with your stock shackle system for a while before making the commitment.

I'm not sure how they would inhibit load carrying capacity or towing ability, but I also don't carry much weight in the bed all that often. I went with the expos to off set the 260lbs shell and the pelfrey hi-clearance bumper with swing out I plan to order soon. Total constant weight will be 540 lbs, so the expos were a more logical choice than the Dakars. I've heard from a few they dragged their shackle mounts in Moab as well as on other trails when wheeling, so I wanted to avoid doing the same. I also want to get the most travel out of the rear without doing a SUA. I plan to get longer ICON Omega bypass for the rear and have Tim build some underbed shock hoops. Seems Like I daily drive and wheel my truck mor than using it for load carrying. Guess we will see. Worse case scenario, I'll just bolt the OEM shackle mounts back on if the flip doesn't work out, or do the DMZ SUA.

EDIT: After looking at the geometry under load I can see how, it causes the leafs to flatten out since it allows the shackles to move freely to displace the weight. This will also cause more body roll since the shackles can move more independently like IFS without a swaybar. Looks like I'll pass on these and look into the TC SUA later on maybe.

Yea every person i've seen install flips on second gens has leaf flattening issues. Which is about 3 people.

Question for you, limit straps for the front... Did you measure for them or tell me once what you thought was a good length? I was thinking 8" straps (haven't measured yet). I've already got the clevis' I just need to get the weld on clevis mounts and straps. Was thinking of the trail gear six ply's...

Will the icon bumps that you are selling not work with your new setup (the expos...etc. what else are you running out back?)? When you were still thinking of doing the shackle flip, why did you choose SOS over the ArmorTech flip kit?

Yes the Icon bumps will work with the expos. To be honest I have some shit I want to pay off and I just can't justify having the bumps on the truck when I hardly use them. Currently I have custom 11.5 leaf deavers arched for 2 inches of lift (which are for sale)with timbrens and ubolt flip. I chose SOS because the flip doesn't add additional lift and the price was better.
