Don't wire an led light bar off an existing 12v wire. Run a separate fused wire.

the rigid harness comes with a fuse built into it. I'm just wondering if theres somewhere back in the rear of the truck that is always hot to tap into so i don't have to run it up to the battery

We put a 12v water proof plug in the bed thats always hot. For camping lights you would want that on a seperate switch anyway. Good fuck you lights for tail gaters anyway

So this is what I'm working with. You guys think it's best to just run it full length of the truck an put the switch inside? Also would like them hooked up to the reverse lights as well.

I would personally. I would hate not to have that on a switch

yeahh i was just trying to make it easy on myself an not try an wire it to the cab "thats what i want" but I've never done anything like that so i was just trying to go the easy route but ill try an tackle it.

what would be the best way to run the wires then? along the frame?

yes. I ran mine up inside the frame rail as best I could. there will be a few places you will have to deviate from that path due to harnesses, gas tank, etc, but for the most part the frame. when you get to under your driver seat you will see a grommet under the cab. you can use this to enter into the cab if you want. this is where I ran my CB Coax through. just silicone afterwards. 3 years and not an issue here.

I went along my frame tucking it as much as possible then right under the driver seat is a spot where you see wires with a rubber bushinggoing into the cab. You can pull it up there under tthe carpet and run it to where ever you want. Its rather simple just takes a little time.

Do you think it would be better for me to run it all the way under to the engine bay for power then back through the firewall to the switch? or under the seat through the fire wall an back?

    damn.. great minds..

since you're doing a switch. run it into the cab.. you will make your connections there, and continue on to the battery/fuse block, for power.

I believe.. i cant remember.. guess I could go look out at the truck..

    I've also been drinking, sooo...

    Ground goes straight to frame.
power you can run into the engine bay then you need to run power to your switch.
then you need to run ground from switch in the cab. All depends on which way you want to do it. What works for you and your truck. If you go straight to the battery make sure you tuck it and zip tie it good. Dont want a stray rock snagging it or whatever fucked up could happen. You gotthis tho
