Well done! I thought of that but just went ahead with what was provided. If I ever have any issues I will run a red wire and solder the connections.

    Thanks for the feedback!

Yes normally I would always use red for power but the black wire will blend and be hidden, while the red wire will really stand out.

The power wire for the bed lights is run on top of the frame with the oem harness so it is out of harms way.

Couldn't wait for the shell so here is a iPhone picture immediately after I finished the install. Looks great and the lights came on so I assume I did 'er right. I'll post a night picture later and then a couple new ones once my shell is installed. Thanks again Matt!!

Edit- the wrong shell was ordered (longbox instead of shortbox) :( so it's going to be a while until I get pictures with a shell.

Yes they are the warm lights as Matt said already. I was on the fence when I ordered them but I'm glad I went with the warm over the bright.

Just got the bed lights in (nearly a year after my order... The unfortunate consequence of a 9 month winter) . My first impression: Looking great, thanks mattgecko ! An interior bed light switch was worth the extra wiring and time.
